Dragon Nest Elemental Lord - Skill Builds – Fire/Ice/Hybrid

Section 2 – Skill Builds We will now head into the various skill builds that one can use as an Elemental Lord.
Firstly, there are 3 main skill builds that you can choose to follow depending on which 3rd job class you’re aiming for in 50 cap.
1.   Fire Build Elemental Lord (PVE Inclined)
2.   Ice Build Elemental Lord (PVP Inclined)
3.   Hybrid Elemental Lord (Balanced Build) Recommended for us in 40 cap only

Highlights

Sorceress Tree – Lvl 13 Glacial Spike 18% Freezing Rate
Elemental Lord Tree
-   Inferno Lvl 7 (Increased range and damage)
-   Fireball Lvl 9 (Increased Damage)
-   Phoenix Storm Lvl 9 (Increased Damage)
-   Glacial Wave lvl 7 (Increased freezing duration for PVE, 6s)
-   Frost Wind Lvl7 (For increased slowing effect in PVP)
Points to Note:
This is an almost pure PVE skill build without learning any skills in the right side of the tree. Only use this skill build if you’re very familiar with playing the Elemental Lord class and you’re focusing on the Fire Element.
This build focuses on utilizing the hell-fire passive buff, with focus on building fire elemental attk % as well as high base Magic Attack.

Ice Build EL 1 PVE Generic Build, 2 PVP Builds
PVE Ice Build Generic build

The reason that this is a generic skill build is because I’ll leave it to your own decision making to see if you want to get Lvl8 Glacial Wave (Max for Lvl40 cap) or use the SP in skills like Freezing Field or Wall.
Basically you get the fire side of the tree up till Fire wall, reason for this is because firewall, inferno as well as fireball does decent damage while you’re waiting for your ice skills to be off cooldown.
Hell fire cost no SP to learn so why not if it means more damage when you use some of the fire based skills.
Highlights
Sorceress Tree
-   Lvl 13 Glacial Spike 18% Chance to Freeze
Elemental Lord Tree
-   Lvl9 Freezing Swords in preparation for Elestra in 50 cap where you need Level 11 for Freezing Sword EX
-   Lvl7 Frost Wind (Increased Slowing Effect)
-   Lvl4 Ice shield (Increased Damage Reduction, 35%)
PVE Ice Build Elemental Item build will focus on getting 10k Critical in 40 cap as ice spells do not benefit from Hell-fire passive skill and maximizing to get as -uch magic attack. Refer to Section 4 for Item Builds for Ice Elemental Lords.

Highlights
Sorceress Tree
-   Lvl 12 Poison Spray for 3 Sprays instead of 2
-   Hammer Strike for PVP
Elemental Lord Tree
-   Lvl7 Inferno (Increased Range) This is optional though, you can consider Build 2 which gets phoenix storm instead
-   Lvl7 Frost Wind (Increased Slowing Effect)
-   Lvl6 Glacial Wave (Increased Freezing Duration)
-   Lvl4 Ice shield (Increased Damage Reduction 35%)

Sorceress Tree
-   Lvl 12 Poison Spray for 3 Sprays instead of 2
-   Hammer Strike for PVP
Elemental Lord Tree
-   Lvl5 Phoenix Storm (Increased Damage) One of the best burst DPS combination in PVP is Glacial Wave + Phoenix Storm
-   Lvl7 Frost Wind (Increased Slowing Effect)
-   Lvl6 Glacial Wave (Increased Freezing Duration)
-   Lvl4 Ice Shield (Increased Damage Reduction 35%)
So depending on your playstyle, if you prefer to have some range flexibility, take PVP Build 1 as inferno level 7 can help you handle some ranged classes.
But if you’re good at stacking the slowing debuff effect on your opponents with frost wind allowing you to do glacial wave (AOE Freeze) followed by a phoenix storm burst dps combination, then use Build 2.
Points to Note: These are probably 1v1 Colosseum PVP Builds, don’t consider this if you’re not into 1v1 PVP, also note that these are not Ladder Optimized PVP Builds as cooldowns come off much faster in Ladder and skills like flame road will definitely be good to have for both mobility as well as damage.

If you’re spoilt for choice and not knowing what you exactly want, go for the Hybrid EL Skill Builds below.
Note that the SP for both generic builds are not used up at all, you can add the leftover SP where you want just make sure that it is well placed such that you know what you spent on will stay with you until 50 cap, and also that it doesn’t affect your lvl50 3rd job skills pre-requisites.
Generic Hybrid Build for Fiery Vortex

Generic Hybrid Build for Blizzard Storm

The reason for the existence of hybrid builds is basically to make use of the 2 high damaging skills for Elemental Lord which is Flame Road as well as Chilling Mist.
Both do a lot of damage but the problem with hybrid build is that your item build will be confusing.
Of course it is possible to get duo-elemental potentials on your rings as well as your weapons but have 32% fire & ice Elemental attack means that you need to spend a necessary amount of gold on getting those said potentials.
also know that unique accessories and weapons can get up 7 potentials which makes elemental potentials with crit possible :)
Go for hybrid builds if you’re not too sure what you really like.
Also hybrid build is the best for farming if you’re looking into your Elemental Lord being a character for farming gold.
For Ice build ELs, not having Flame road is really a @_@ when grinding.
For Fire Build ELs, they can still get away for not having chilling mist, which is why I mention that Fire build ELs are more for PVE.
