Dragon Nest Acrobat – Gear/Item Builds

5.    Gear Build
As I have mentioned in Introduction, I am not specialized in gear build hence this part will only serve the purpose of giving you basic idea only.
5.1.  Equipment to Wear
Since we are talking about current Level 40 cap of DN SEA, then the choice is quite obvious. The best equipment you can have is Manticore/Apocalypse set.

Manticore & Apocalypse Set Bonus
They are both as good as each other overall, but each of them has different usage purpose.
While Manticore set will give you more damaging capability (Through bonus AGI), Apocalypse set will give you more survivability (Through bonus HP and MP).
Take note that even though Manticore set provides 47 VIT, it gives you 1410 HP only, which is still a smaller amount than 2499 HP bonus from Apocalypse set. The Defense bonus from VIT that you will get is around 23.5, which is nearly unnoticeable.
However, Manticore set provides 78 AGI, which in turn gives you around 39 Physical Attack Power and 273 Critical. With Spiritual Excel, you will get even more Physical Attack Power and Critical bonus. This is the awesome part from Manticore set.
Manticore set also provides 14% Light Defense which is useful for you to survive in Apocalypse Nest. However other than that, it is not really that useful in PvE for the current Level 40 cap.
5.2.  Accessories
5.2.1.    Basics
These are some basic combinations that you should have at least. Your main focus will be on maximizing your Critical first, and there are various and flexible ways to do so. Some combination examples (Necklace Sylvie Ana/Earrings Sylvie Ana/Ring Sylvie Ana/Ring Sylvie Ana) :
  • Wind/Wind/Fatal/Fatal
  • Wind/Wind/Fatal (Critical)/Destruction
  • Wind/Wind/Fatal/Destruction (Critical)
  • Wind/Wind/ Destruction (Critical)/Destruction (Critical)
Do note that the combinations will be very dependent on your Critical. If you already have critical potential on your weapons, you will find that Fatal Sylvie Ana is not really needed. In this case, it will be better to wear Destruction Sylvie Ana or Skill Ring with high Attack Power option.
In addition, you may also want to switch Wind Sylvie Ana Necklace/Earrings for Healthy Sylvie Ana Necklace/Earrings if you are desperately in need of some HP, for example, for Sea Dragon Nest.
Another thing to take note is that you should get a two-options for your necklace/earrings. For example, getting Wind Sylvie Ana Necklace with AGI and VIT is much better than getting another one with STR, AGI, and VIT at the same time.
5.2.2.    Final Damage
If you want to purely focus on getting some decent Final Damage, the best choice is to wear two sets of Apocalypse accessories. The best pair to maximize your physical attack power would be :
  • Discplinary Apocalypse Ring
  • Discplinary Apocalypse Ring
  • Judgement Apocalypse Earrings/Revelation Apocalypse Earrings
  • Judgement Apocalypse Necklace/Revelation Apocalypse Necklace
This pair of accessories will give you :
  • Attack Power : 130-130
  • STR : 31
  • AGI : 31
  • INT : 102
  • VIT : 96
  • Max HP : 2558
  • Max MP : 2388
  • Paralyze : 468
  • Stun : 586
  • Critical : 351
  • Paralysis Resistance : 438
  • Stun Resistance : 548
  • Critical Resistance : 657
  • Final Damage : 244
You still can maximize your Critical even though you are wearing this pair by having a critical potential on one or both of your ring. However, Apocalypse Ring with critical potential is extremely expensive, so you should take this into account as well.
5.2.3.    Skill Accessories
Skill accessories are used to increase one of your current skill level by one. However, it cannot be used on an unlearned skill and it also cannot be used to complete pre-requisite level to take other skills. Do note that skill accessories with the best option are generally better than a similar Sylvie Ana accessories.
  • Skill Sylvie Ana Necklace
Skill enhancement to have : Double Somersault Kick/Spirit Boost.
Best option to have : (STR 32/AGI 195/INT 29)
Note : If your current level of Spirit Boost is 2, it will be better to have Double Somersault Kick as the skill enhancement instead. Spirit Boost at Level 3 only gives you 2% additional speed and cooldown reduction compared to Level 2, which is not really worth it.
  • Skill Sylvie Ana Earrings
Skill enhancement to have : Spiral Vortex/Cyclone Kick
Best option to have : (STR 26/AGI 159/INT 23)
Note : Choose Spiral Vortex as your skill enhancement if your Spiral Vortex has higher level compared with your Cyclone Kick, and vice versa. If both are the same, then the choice is up to you (Although personally I like Spiral Vortex better).
  • Skill Sylvie Ana Ring
Skill enhancement to have : Spiritual Excel/Shortbow Mastery
Best option to have : (Attack Power 98-98/Magic Attack 59-59/VIT 26)
Note : Depending on your status, having additional 2% AGI from Spiritual Excel may or may not be better than having additional 0.7%-0.8% additional Physical Attack Power from Shortbow Mastery.
5.3.  Potentials to Have
5.3.1.    Armors
AGI/VIT/Max HP is the best potential you could have at the moment for better survivability, while STR/AGI/Max HP is the second best as STR gives you additional Physical Attack (Although not comparable with Physical Attack gained from AGI). Max MP is not really useful as you can regenerate your MP anyway, and having all my armors on Max HP never gives me problem with lack of MP in PvE (Although it will give you some problems in PvP Compensation OFF).
5.3.2.    Weapons
ATK Power/AGI/Critical is the best you could have at the moment, and if you are using epic weapons, there will be four potential if you manage to get a Critical potential in your weapons. Aside from ATK Power and AGI, the fourth potential is optional. In other words, the best you can have is either ATK Power/MATK Power/AGI/Critical or ATK Power/AGI/Critical/MP Recovery. Personally I would prefer the second one as MP Recovery will help the absence of Max MP in my armors. But if you get the first one instead, it is already good enough and you don’t need to revert it more just to get MP Recovery.
5.4.  Prefixes/Suffixes
5.4.1.    Armors
You can go for full Wind prefix/suffix in order to maximize your damage. However, take note that by doing so, you will have poor survivability. Iron Wall/Tent/HP will help you a lot to survive. Generally, HP is the best choice for survivability due to their short cooldown of 5 seconds (HP works even better if you have high Max HP). However, in higher level nest such as Sea Dragon Nest, Iron Wall/Tent can prevent you from dying due to attack with very high damage burst.
You can also choose to have combination of Wind and Iron Wall/Tent/HP. For example, Wind prefix/suffix for your head and upper body, and HP prefix/suffix for your lower body, gloves, and shoes. Personally, I would say try to use this kind of prefix/suffix combination to have a balance between damage and survivability. Remember that a dead DPS is zero DPS.
5.4.2.    Weapons
For rare weapons, Destruction for Secondary Weapon, Destruction/Wind for Main Weapon (Destruction if you want more ATK Power, Wind if you want more Critical and the Wind debuff effect).
For epic weapons, Destruction for Secondary Weapon and Wind for Main Weapon. Why not Destruction on Main Weapon? The reason being is that the amount of ATK Power you gain from Wind prefix/suffix on Main Weapon will be more than ATK Power gain from Destruction prefix/suffix. This is possible due to significant amount of AGI gain that you will have if you choose to craft Wind prefix/suffix. With additional 53 AGI, not only you have more ATK Power gain compared to Destruction prefix/suffix, but you will also have more Critical value.
